In closing I would like to stress four brief points:

       First of all, opinions you heard are simply opinions. Take what you like and leave the rest.

       Second, please do not share outside our group anything you’ve heard while here.

       Third, this is an anonymous program. Participant’s names and phone numbers are strictly confidential.

       Last of all, talk to each other, reason things out with someone else. Let there be no gossip or criticism of one another. Instead, let the understanding, love, and peace of the program grow in you one day at a time.

INTRODUCTION TO A FIRST-STEP PRESENTATION:

The First Step Presentation should not be rushed and may extend over more than one meeting. No one is to interrupt except in the interest of time. At the end of the presentation, at the option of the person giving their first step, members are encouraged to share their feelings with the presenter.
