The Plano Monday night group has invited the Intergroup to meet at their location (1919 Independence) on July 14. That meeting is at 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM and we can have the intergroup meeting afterwards. Issues to bring up at this meeting:

Is there anything that your group thinks will affect the other groups?

Vote for a chair. (This will be the one year mark and it would be time to have someone else be the chair.) Register this Intergroup with ISO Reporting on the fall retreat plans. Ask for more volunteers to help?

News from those who went to the SAA Convention Other outreach efforts?

             The North Texas SAA Intergroup is meeting on a bi-monthly basis, and all SAA members are invited. The Intergroup is presently in the process of deciding when those meetings will occur. When it is determined, the Intergroup meeting schedule will appear on the website.

             The primary purpose of an intergroup is found in the Twelfth Step: to carry our message to other sex addicts. Thus our website which announces the time and place of meetings constitutes a central part of our fulfillment of that goal. In addition to providing information regarding SAA meetings and events, the Intergroup will provide a centralized location where different groups can share their experience strength and hope and work towards suggestions of solutions to common problems – as for example, finding meeting places for our groups and techniques for establishing and building new groups in underserved areas of North Texas.

             The Intergroup has a Google group for email communication among SAA members. Emails disseminated by the group come with a subject line which begins with the following parenthetical: [DFW Intergroup] followed by the particular subject of the email. The Intergroup recommends SAA members joining this group.
